Darlene Ann Hunt, 80, of Claremont, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at her home.
She was born July 3, 1938 in Waseca, Minnesota the daughter of Henry and Wileminia "Minnie" (De Raad) Mollé. She grew up on a farm near Waseca and attended school in Waseca. On January 3, 1956, she married Richard Hunt in Owatonna. The couple lived in North Carolina while Richard was in the military, then in New York and later settled in Rochester. In 2000, the couple moved to Claremont. Darlene was a homemaker and also worked outside the home making pies at Grandma's Kitchen in Rochester, Libby's and IBM.
She enjoyed playing bingo, baking cookies, setting jigsaw puzzles, playing card games, making Ole Koeken every New Year's Eve, and made the best rhubarb pie. She was a loving, caring and generous person. Her children and family were her first priority. She also cherished her weekly coffee gatherings with her mother and her sisters.
She is survived by her children, Larry (and Carla) Hunt of Elk River, Brenda Adams of Rochester, Karen Mahon of Rochester, Daniel Hunt of Claremont and Linda Hunt of Byron; grandchildren, Jesse Lesmeister, Jason (and Sara) Lesmeister, Mikey Lesmeister, Nicole (and Mike) Greenwaldt, Jamie (and Tricia) Mahon, Jamie Hunt, Jeremy Hunt and Brittany Hunt; 11 great-grandchildren and brothers, John (and Clarie) Mollé of Burlington, WI, Edwin Mollé of Hanson, KY, Eldert (and Sharon) Mollé of Glendora, CA and Don (and Doris) Mollé of Plainview.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Minnie; husband, Richard Hunt; sisters, Minnie Fisher and Deanna Ripka; brother, Henry Mollé and infant twin brother, Donwin Mollé.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna on Saturday, January 26th from 1:00 - 2:00pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:00pm at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna. Interment will be in Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Clinton Falls Township.
