Darrell Robert Reese, 64, of Blooming Prairie, died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. He was born May 9, 1953 in Owatonna the son of Darvin and Darlene (Ressler) Reese. Darrell married Lena Kraudy August 5, 1972 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Litomysl. The couple lived near Lemond. In 1999, they moved near Litomysl to land they had farmed for several years which allowed them to be closer to Darrell's parents. Darrell worked for over 40 years at Anderson Roofing which later became Malo Roofing. Darrell enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing cards and watching old Westerns. He loved to spend time with his grandsons and his dog, Buddy. He is survived by his wife, Lena Reese of Blooming Prairie; daughters, Kelly (and Tony) Gilmore of Cambridge, Kristina Reese of Geneva; sons, Robert (and Jane Urban) Reese of Geneva, Joseph Reese of Geneva; grandsons, Derek Gilmore, Dylan Gilmore, Bentley Benny Reese; mother, Darlene Reese of Blooming Prairie; brother, Jerry (and Koni) Reese of Owatonna; sister, Sherry (and Brad) Grobner of Owatonna and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by father, Darvin Reese; brother, Charles Reese. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3pm to 6pm and on Thursday from 10am to 11am. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11am at Michaelson Funeral Home led by Sister Francheon Prikl. Interment will be in the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Litomysl.
