Darryl R. Mueller, 31, of Owatonna, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at his home. Darryl was the son of Toni Mueller Olson of Owatonna and Adam Robert Mueller of Denver, North Carolina. He was born on July 28, 1981 at Owatonna Hospital. Darryl attended McKinley Elementary School and 7th grade at Owatonna High School. When his family moved to Monticello, he attended 8th grade at Monticello Junior High and 9th and 10th at Monticello High School. Finally, after returning to Owatonna, he completed his last two years of school at Owatonna Senior High School where he graduated in 2000. Darryl enjoyed being involved in Boy Scouting and going to the roller skating rink and on camping trips with his family. Darryl was a very smart child who always excelled in the reading, science and math areas in school. While growing up, he especially loved his computer games and had a very intricate knowledge and fascination with computers. He had attended Riverland Community College taking Computer Networking specializing in CCNA. Darryl was also very creative. He could knit or crochet nearly any pattern you put in front of him and even made some patterns of his own. He entered many of his works in the Owatonna Steele County Free Fair and won many ribbons to his credit. He took great pride in his achievements. He also grew his hair out so it could be cut and donated to 'Locks of Love' to help those who lose hair when they are sick from cancer treatment. He was very proud and pleased to be able to do this for others who suffer. Darryl was employed by several places over the years including, Wal-Mart, Rust Consulting, Godfather''s, Eddie Bauer and First Choice Shuttle. Darryl is survived by his mother, Toni Mueller Olson and special friend Brian Schull of Owatonna, his father Adam Mueller of Denver, NC, maternal grandmother Rosemary Peterson of Owatonna, maternal grandfather Gary (Erma) Petersen of Mason City, paternal grandmother Dorthea Mueller of Avondale, AZ, his aunts Denise and Diana Mueller of Avondale, AZ, aunt Dorthea, his uncles Gary Mueller of Buckeye, AZ, and Eric Mueller of Oregon, special friend Vicki Lee of Owatonna, and several other distant relatives and friends. Darryl was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Adam Mueller, and both his maternal and paternal great grandparents. Darryl will be greatly missed and no one and nothing will ever be able to fill his place now absent from this earth. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday April 1, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM . Funeral services will be held Monday April 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Intern Pastor Barb Streed officiating.
