Darwin Crouse, 60, of Rochester, formerly of Kenyon died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester surrounded by his children. Darwin was born December 24, 1952 in Northfield, Minnesota the son of Vernon and Lorraine (Nelson) Crouse. He was raised in Kenyon and graduated from Kenyon High School in 1972. He was married to Nancy Houglum on September 14, 1974 in Kenyon. The couple later divorced. Darwin worked for Northfield Lumber and also for Kruse Lumber in Rochester. Darwin made his home in Rochester where he worked at Laures Trucking until the time of illness. Darwin enjoyed watching football and the Minnesota Vikings. He was a follower of NASCAR and also enjoyed playing cards with friends. He is survived by a son Todd (Fay) Crouse of Kenyon; a daughter Tracy (Jon) Oeltjenbruns of Owatonna; six grandchildren Cera, Ryan, Mali, Emma and Adam Crouse and Lesley Oeltjenbruns; two brothers, Gary Crouse of Northfield; Jim Crouse of Fountain. The family would like to thank a very close friend, Anita Thatcher. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon with The Reverend Gary Rusinko officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery in Kenyon.
