David Crowley 29, Komel Crowley 28, and their daughter Raniya, 5, recently passed away at their Apple Valley home.
David, a 2004 graduate of Owatonna High School, served in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 2009. David met his wife Komel Alam while she studied at Baylor University and he was stationed at Fort Hood. After a whirlwind romance, they were married on May 22, 2008. Their partnership was blessed with a daughter, Raniya Lynn, born August 6, 2009. Their family moved to Minnesota soon after where they pursued their interests: screenwriting and filmmaking, dietary health and counseling, and of course endless play and discovery with Raniya. David's friends and family knew him as a tireless visionary, generous with his time and resources. Komel was known for her compassion and persistent dedication to promoting healthy living. Raniya is remembered for her infinite curiosity and love of all things pink.
They are survived by David's mother and father Kate and Dan Crowley of Owatonna; brother, Dan Crowley of St. Paul, and sister, Allison Crowley of Chicago, IL; Komel's Parents, Anjum and Naila Alam of Hewitt, TX, and Sidrah Alam of Hewitt, TX; David's grandmother, Carol Crowley of Owatonna, and grandparents, Dan and Jan Crowley of White Bear Lake; many aunts, uncles, and extended family.
They are preceded in death by David's grandparents, Jerome and Bernadette Bergeron, and uncle, Sgt. Joseph Bergeron.
