David C. Belina, 73, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Homestead Hospice House. He was born September 5, 1939 in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of Charles and Myrtle (Stulpnagel) Belina. He graduated from Owatonna High School in 1957. In 1962, he joined the National Guard. He completed his training at Fort Ord and served for 9 years. He married Patti Miller on March 23, 1963 in Blackduck, Minnesota. They lived and farmed on the family farm in Owatonna Township. David retired from dairy farming and continued crop farming until retirement. He then made his home on Kitchi Lake, Minnesota which he named 'Camp David'. He was a member of the American Legion for 37 years and Elks Club for 48 years. David loved to fish and being surrounded by friends and family. He will be most remembered for making others feel important. He is survived by his sons, Peter (and Renee) Belina of Owatonna, and Mitch (and Rochelle) Belina of Owatonna; four grandchildren, Jake and Joe Belina, and Rachel and Katie Belina; sisters, Charlotte Sanford of Minneapolis, and Joanne (and Robert) Hollinger of Owatonna; sister-in-law, Jon (and Don) Wilker of Owatonna; many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his great friend, Dave 'Wrangler' Warner of Owatonna. He was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life, wife, Patti (1986), sister, Barb Seykora, and brothers-in-law, Donald Seykora and Roy Sanford. Visitation will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM . Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church with his nephew The Reverend Mike Wilker officiating. Interment will be at the Bohemian National Cemetery in Owatonna. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Bohemian National Cemetery Association or Homestead Hospice House.
