David "Dave" C. Redfield, 77, of Nerstrand, died Thursday, March 26, 2020 at North Ridge View surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 29, 1942 in Madison, the son of David and Dorothy (McLagan) Redfield Sr. Dave graduated from Kenyon High School in 1960 and graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato for business in 1962. On June 22, 1963, he married Betty Helgeson at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenyon. Dave worked for Security State Bank of Kenyon and Farmers State Bank of Nerstrand. He was currently working for Farm Bureau where he was an insurance salesman. Dave was on the city council in Nerstrand and served as the Mayor. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where he served as the treasurer for many years. Dave took great care of his lawn and took pride in his hard work. He enjoyed bowling, golfing at local golf courses and playing cards especially euchre and cribbage. Dave loved spending time with grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Betty Redfield of Nerstrand; children, Teresa (Mark) Pittman of Kilkenny and Brian Redfield of Dennison; grandchildren, Alyssa, Tyler and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Raelyn and Rowynn; sisters, Donna (Jerry) Beckman of Zumbrota and Bonnie (Tom) Aube of Pueblo, CO. A memorial service will be at 4:30 pm on Friday, September 25, 2020, at Grace Lutheran Church in Nerstrand with Pastor Don Kloster officiating with a visitation from 3:00-4:30 pm at the church.
