David Kraay, 77, of Owatonna died on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the Owatonna Hospital.

David was born on November 27, 1945, in Albert Lea to Jochem and Doris (Larson) Kraay. He married Leigh Ann Wilker in Owatonna, MN On October 20, 1972.

David grew up in Owatonna and attended school there. Following school he received training in HVAC repair. David worked for Anderson Heating and Roofing before creating Tonna Heating & Cooling. He also worked at OTC on the HVAC systems before he retired in 2007. David enjoyed hunting, and fishing up north at his cabin, as well as spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Leigh Ann Kraay of Owatonna, children, Allan (Michelle) Kraay of Owatonna, Michelle (Steve) Benish of Windermere, FL, and Kelly (Jason Guevara) Kraay of Faribault; 4 grandchildren: Cody, Dalton, Kinsley and Nolan, great granddaughter Mia. He is also survived by his sister Deb (Kevin) Grose of Owatonna. He was preceded in death by his parents, JC and Doris Kraay; 3 brothers, Ron Kraay, Mike Kraay, and Tim Kraay; 2 sisters, Barabara Kraay and Joan Marie Kraay; and a grandson, Aaron Kraay.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna. Interment will follow in Owatonna Memorial Garden Cemetery.
