David Ernest Kranda, 75, of Owatonna, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Valley View in Owatonna. David was the oldest son of Ernest and Lillian Kranda, born in Blooming Prairie on October 25, 1945. He grew up on the family farm in rural Blooming Prairie. David was confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie and graduated high school from the Minnesota School of Agriculture in Waseca. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He farmed with his brother, Ken until 1983. He hauled milk for AMPI, worked at Tubeco, Summers Sanitation and then had his own laundry mat in Medford for several years before retiring. David loved to collect things and would create his own form of art from them. His lawn displayed much of his work. He is survived by brother, Kenneth (Darlene) Kranda of Owatonna; sister, Kathy Srsen of Owatonna; three nephews; three nieces and their spouses and 12 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery in Owatonna this summer followed by a celebration of his life.
