David Willard Zvorak, 71, of Owatonna, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 15, 2019 near the family cabin east of Pine River. He was born February 28, 1948 in Russell, Minnesota, the son of John and Betty (Harris) Zvorak. He grew up in the Russell area where he attended school. He was united in marriage to Constance "Connie" Zajic on June 10, 1967 in Milroy. The couple lived in Marshall for six years before moving to Owatonna in 1973. Connie died in 1989 and David married Carolyn Lee in 1996 and divorced in 2014. Before and after his marriage to Connie, David worked for her father building pole sheds around western Minnesota. After moving to Owatonna, he worked at Modern Metals (Muckles), Hydro-ax, and owned and operated Tri State Lift. Following his retirement he spent summers and falls at the family cabin near Pine River and winters in Owatonna. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, ice fishing and watching NASCAR and football. He especially enjoyed and loved spending time with his grandchildren whom he called "his little weasels". He also enjoyed spending time with his friends up north at the Jenkins V.F.W where he became a member. He is survived by children, Tammy Zvorak of Owatonna, Shane (and Laura) Zvorak of Owatonna and Isaac Zvorak of Mankato; step daughters, Nicole (and Troy) Scofield of Lonsdale, Randi (and Casey Kilde) Stoos of Owatonna and Tara (and Sam) Goodson of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Heather and Justin Johnson, Vanessa (Crispin Padilla), Veronica and Devin Zvorak, Amaya, Madysen and Tyler Copp, Parker Scofield, Marcus and Aiden Prieto and Elijah Goodson; great grandchildren, Lillian Hailly, Jovanny, Domingo, Zai, Ava, Vivian, Mia, Jemma, Ezra and Sophia and siblings, Mark Zvorak of Austin and Tanya Lozano of Owatonna. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty; wife, Connie Zvorak; siblings, Gary, Cindy, Betty Jane and Todd. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, May 20th from 4-7pm and on Tuesday from 12:30-1:30pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at 1:30 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Wing officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday in Our Lady of Victory Cemetery in Lucan.
