Service update: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 23, 2020 at Michaelson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Dean Carl Husemoller, 74, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the Owatonna Hospital. He was born October 15, 1945 in Austin, Minnesota the son of Maynard and Betty (Bird) Husemoller. He grew up on a farm near Claremont. Dean worked at Cedar Valley Services and currently resided at Kaplan Woods Home in Owatonna. Early in life, he enjoyed music. He loved people, especially family, and could remember significant details about them that he learned while visiting with them. He is survived by his siblings, Jim Husemoller of Owatonna, Susan Schaefer of Owatonna and JoAnn Ferguson of Maple Grove; niece, MacKenzie Ferguson (Gabriel Carlson) of Minneapolis; nephew Nathan Ferguson and his daughter, Maisie of Minneapolis; aunt, LaVonne Husemoller of Austin and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maynard and Betty; uncle, Russ Husemoller and uncles and aunts, Jim and Jackie Crowley and Butch and Kate Carll. A memorial service celebrating Dean's life will be announced at a later date.
