Dean Harold Von Ruden, 91, of Owatonna, died on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Timberdale Trace.

He was born March 24, 1935, in Owatonna, the son of Stuart and Irene (Kruckeberg) Von Ruden. Dean was raised in Owatonna, graduating from the Owatonna High School in 1953. After graduating, he joined the Army and served for two years. Once he left the army, he became a Postal Carrier and also worked on the family farm. In his free time, he would travel to Germany, visiting relatives that lived there. He also enjoyed playing fast pitch softball, fishing, snowmobiling, and being a member of the Eagles.

He is survived by his brother, Frederick (Avis) Von Ruden of Owatonna; and nieces and nephews, Jim, Judy, Jackie, Lowell, Kim, Dawn, and Todd.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald (Delores) Von Ruden, and nephew, Paul Michael.
