Delbert William Schlobohm, 89, of Owatonna, went home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Traditions One in Owatonna. Delbert was born January 14, 1930 in Medford Minnesota, the son of Edward and Ella (Abbe) Schlobohm. He graduated from Medford High School in 1947. He served in the US Army from 1951 until 1953. On June 18, 1955, he married Dalene. The couple made their home in Owatonna, Minnesota and had 3 children. Delbert worked for Gasner & Mac/McCarthy Plumbing and Heating 42 years. He then worked part-time at Cabella's for 12 years. He loved spending time with his family. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by daughters, Debra (Peter) Fahrendorff, Deanne Nelson and son Dean Schlobohm (Victoria Grams); 2 granddaughters and 2 great granddaughters and siblings, Lucille Skalicky, Herbert Schlobohm and Wilford (Sandy) Schlobohm. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dalene; and siblings, Luverne, Dorothy and Harold Schlobohm. Visitation will be at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Owatonna on Friday from 12-1pm. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, April 12, 2019, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Owatonna with The Reverend Greg Schlicker officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault Military honors will be provided by the Steele County Military Funeral Unit.
