Delores A. Froehlich, 79, of Owatonna, died Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Homestead Hospice. She was born December 14, 1929 in Lidgerwood, North Dakota the daughter of John and Edna (Gebro) Hruza. Delores was raised on the family farm near Stiles and Lidgerwood North Dakota. She graduated from Lidgerwood High School and went on to teachers college at Valley City N.D., Aberdeen, and NDSU at Fargo and Moorhead. Delores taught school from 1949 to 1970 in Hankinson, and Lidgerwood. She married Carl Kath on May 1,1948 and Carl later died in 1964. Delores married Melvin 'Pete' Froehlich on December 5, 1970 and Pete died in March of 2008. Delores was a member of St. Paul''s Lutheran Church in Meriden where she was active with Sunday school, building committee, and quilting clubs, she was also very involved with quilting mission work through Assisi Heights in Rochester. Delores enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, cooking, canning, exchanging recipes, watching softball, playing cards, and getting together with neighbors. She is survived by two sons, Marshall (and Jeanne) Kath of Prior Lake, Mark (and Julie) Kath of Owatonna, and grandson Dan Ashley of Owatonna. She is also survived by three sisters, Ada (and Al) Ehli of Tacoma, WA, Jean Tesch of Lidgerwood, and Donna Fluto of Lisbon. Her parents, and two husbands preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday June 28 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Meriden on Monday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral service will be held Monday June 29 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with The Reverend Gary Rusinko officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Meriden.
