Delores "Dee"� L. Preston, 84, of Owatonna, Minnesota died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at Laurel's Edge Assisted Living, Mankato. Delores was born December 19, 1929, to Clark and Lillie (Frey) Preston in Medo Township Blue Earth County, Minnesota. She grew up on a farm near St. Clair, Minnesota. There she attended St. Clair high school and graduated in the class of 1947. Following high school she attended Mankato Business College in Mankato. After completing her degree she took a position at Federated Insurance in Owatonna. After working 46 years at Federated, Dee retired. Following her retirement she did some traveling and just enjoyed life in Owatonna with many friends and her family near-by. When she could no longer live by herself, she moved to Mankato and lived in Laurels Edge for the remainder of her life. Dee is survived by her sister, Donnave (Harold) Bartsch of Chaska, sister-in-law, Norma Preston of Mankato, nieces, Linda (Mike) Peters of Janesville, Colleen (George) Seys of Mankato, Nancy Bartsch of Waconia, nephews, Tom Bartsch of Maple Grove, Kurt (Cathy) Preston of Mapleton, Scott (Cindy) Preston of Janesville; many grand nieces and nephews and a special friend that helped Dee, Becky Mensing of Owatonna. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Delmar Preston. Visitation will be at The Associated Church on Monday, April 7, 2014, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2014, at 2:00 PM at The Associated Church with The Reverend Katherine Gibson Christensen officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Medo McPherson Cemetery in St. Clair. Memorials are preferred to Associated Church or to the donor''s choice. Arrangements by Michaelson Funeral Home.
