Deloris Jane Knutson, 86, of West Concord, died Friday, August 10, 2018, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born on October 23, 1931 in Shieldsville, Minnesota the daughter of Melvin and Florence (Svoboda) Ray, Sr. She grew up on a farm in Concord Township and attended country school and West Concord High School. On April 8, 1960, she married LaVerne Knutson at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Concord. The couple made their home in West Concord where they raised their family. Deloris was a homemaker and also worked at Geraldine's Dress Shop, West Concord Bakery and Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center. Deloris was devoted to her family. She loved spending time together as a family. She also enjoyed cooking, Calling Bingo at Chicos Boarding Lodge, reading, watching the game show network, coffee at Gilbert's and dearly loved her dog, Mugs. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and The Golden Gals. She is survived by her children, Christine Chris Finne, Jamie Jame Knutson and Jeremy Jer (Teresa) Knutson all of West Concord; grandchildren, Angela Slaymaker, Carrie McCabe, Zach Knutson, Kindra Knutson, Sami Knutson and Karissa Knutson; great grand children, Corbin Slaymaker, Broc McCabe, Karrigan Slaymaker, Kiezer Slaymaker, Brylee McCabe and Lincoln Bowman and siblings, Bess Quimby, Kate Jackson and Bob (Ruby) Ray. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin, Sr. and Florence; husband, LaVerne and siblings, Bill Flicek, Emma Flicek, Mayme Schuller, George Flicek and Melvin Ray, Jr. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord Chapel on Wednesday, August 15th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at church on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018, at 10:30 AM at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in West Concord with Father Thomas Niehaus officiating.
