Denise M. Kenow, 39, of Owatonna, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at her home following a four year battle with breast cancer. She was born March 28, 1973 in Rochester the daughter of Dennis and Marie (Rhoten) Lloyd. She graduated from Owatonna High School in 1991. Denise married Kelly Kenow October 19, 1991 at St. Paul''s Episcopal Church. She worked for Federated Insurance for over 20 years. She was on the Federated Insurance Credit Union board and served as the United Way representative for Federated Ins. Denise also served as a breast cancer mentor. Denise loved to hangout with family and friends. She enjoyed fishing and camping. She was strong and supportive but also gentle and soft when it came to her children. Denise was a calming and positive role model for her family. She preached to live life with no regrets. She is survived by her husband, Kelly Kenow of Owatonna; son, Nicholas Kenow of Owatonna; daughter, Kaitlyn Kenow of Owatonna; parents, Dennis (and Marie) Lloyd of Verona, MO; twin sister, Diane (and Kevin Dunagan) Southwick of Owatonna; sisters, Julie (and Mike) Mussman of Claremont, Cindy (and Gary) Lentz of Columbus, OH; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Donna Kenow of Park Rapids and nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 4pm to 8pm and one hour before the service at the church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 10am at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend Julie Malone officiating. Interment will be in the Dania Cemetery in Havana Township.
