Dennis "Denny" Ahlman, age 79, of Medford, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Owatonna Hospital.

Denny was born November 20, 1945, in Owatonna, to the late Louis and Dorothy (Karow) Ahlman. He attended Medford Public School and graduated in 1963. While in school, Denny was active in basketball, football and baseball, where he was the captain of each team. Denny worked for OTC/SPX as the Supervisor in the Shipping Department for over 43 years. He farmed since 1978 and his love for his family was greater than life itself. His hobbies included ice fishing, watching the Minnesota Vikings and he rarely missed a Timberwolves game.. He was given the title as "Park Ranger" by his family since it was his farm after all. He enjoyed his card playing days at Anhorn's in the mornings.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara (Wolf) Ahlman; Children; Scott (Brenda) Ahlman of Medford, Michelle (Jeff) Bluhm of Medford and Kara Christensen of Warsaw; Grandchildren, Luke, Lindsay, Lanie (Ivan) Lopez, Logan, Rachel (John) Henderson, Josh, Brittany, Corrin and Danielle; Great Grandchildren, Quinn, Destinee, Daisy, Mia, Marianna, Louis, Sage, Bubba, Brionna, Jay and Carter.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Nagel.

Family will receive friends Thursday, December 5th, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Michaelson Funeral Home, 1930 Austin Rd., Owatonna. Memorial Service will be held Friday, 11 am, at Congregational United Church of Christ, 211 South Main Street, Medford, with visitation one hour prior to services.
