Dixie L. Rhodes, 56, of Jordan, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at her residence. She was born November 24, 1952 in Claremont, the daughter of Floyd and Bernice (Thompson) Worrell. Dixie attended Claremont High School. She worked at SPX for many years. Dixie was a very hard worker and took pride in whatever she did. She was a loving and caring person who loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dixie enjoyed puzzles, games and traveling. She is survived by a son, Rich (and Holly) Rhodes of Richfield; daughter, Melinda Grass of Owatonna; daughter, Kari McGowan of St. Paul; sister, Carol (and Jeff Pobanz) Jensen of Owatonna; brother, Richard 'Butch' (and Margaret) Worrell of Owatonna; brother, Marvin 'Buck' (and Janet) Worrell of Owatonna; sister, Bonnie (and Ralland) Lurken of Wrenshall; grandchildren, Alexandra, Brittany, Camden, Kaitlyn, Madysen, Alexandria, Tyler and Vivian. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents and her significant other Harvey Stoffel. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, January 5, 2009 from 3-6 PM. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 5, 2009 at 6:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Weber officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
