Donald A. Arndt, 86, of Owatonna, died Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Traditions I. He was born January 28, 1935 in Owatonna, the son of Albert and Beatrice (Kuphal) Arndt. Donald graduated from Owatonna High School in 1953. He married Audrey Schley in 1955 and had three children. They later divorced. Donald traveled throughout the country while working for State Farm Insurance and later worked for Strategic Data Systems a software developer for insurance companies. He met and married Jackie. They lived in several places including South Carolina, Owatonna and Arizona. Donald loved sports, especially playing basketball and baseball in his younger years. He enjoyed coaching the Owatonna Aces, bowling and gardening. Spending time with his family was the most important to Donald. He is survived by children, Peggy (and Scott) Felstead, LeeAnn (and Brad) Stilwagon and Michael Arndt all of Owatonna; grandchildren, Matthew Klingenberg, Amanda (Mathew) Wille, Shawn (Amy) Stilwagon, Dimitri (fiancé Nathan) Rain, Aaron (fiancée Lexus) Arndt, Hannah (fiancé Kyle) Arndt and Breanna Arndt; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Jayden Klingenberg, Arielle and Aiden Thurber, Liana Wille, Landon, Chloe, Eyla, Christian, Zander and Alexis Stilwagon; and extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Arndt; grandson, Ryan Klingenberg and sister, MaeBelle Hillestad. Interment will be in Bush River Memorial Gardens in Columbia, SC.
