Obituary

Donald William Linse died Wednesday evening at the Kenyon Sunset Home after a long and courageous battle against numerous medical complications. Don was born September 10, 1929 to William and Elsie (Priebe) Linse on the family farm. He attended rural school in Aurora Township, and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1947. Don farmed for many years on the family farm, and worked for nearly twenty years at the Owatonna Bus Company. He fondly remembered the children, the trips and the camaraderie of his co-workers. He will be remembered by many as the jolly driver of bus number 7. Don lived a simple and happy life, and delighted in the changes of the seasons. He loved to garden and looked forward each year to attending the Steele County as well as the State Fairs. Don had the uncanny ability to make anything work. He always enjoyed a visit and a good card game, especially when he would win. During his last few years at home, you could find him happily cruising around the farm on his lawnmower. He is survived by Donna Linse and their three children Lori (Tim) Nelson, Ellen Linse, and Kirk (Connie) Linse. He leaves behind five grandchildren, Tyler, Corey, and Brooks Nelson, and Spencer and Reed Linse, as well as many cousins, a niece, and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Clifford Linse. Visitation will be Monday December 20, 2010 at Michaelson Funeral Home from 5-8 PM, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Funeral service will be Tuesday December 21, 2010 at 11 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Steele Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred. Visitation: 12/20/2010 17:00 12/20/2010 20:00 Service: and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. 12/21/2010 11:00
