Donald Duane Longrehr, 85, of Owatonna, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at his home.

He was born April 29, 1939, in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of Albert and Adeline (Bendorf) Longrehr. He grew up in Havana Township and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1957. He then entered in the United States Army and served from 1962 to 1964 as a switchboard operator. Upon coming back to Owatonna, he worked for Jostens in their Maintenance and painting department for 47 years, retiring in 2004.

Donald loved to go hunting and fishing with his buddies. He also loved to put together jigsaw puzzles and build the frames for them and give them to family and friends. Donald would also build grandfather clocks and made various wooden furniture pieces.

He is survived by his cousin, Patricia (David) Marquardt and their children, Ramona, Evonne, Sara, Todd, and Jenni; cousin, Gladys Batdorf of Remer; cousin, Bill Sepin of Texas; and many other distant cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Adeline Longrehr.

Services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Military honors will be provided by the Steele County Military Funeral Unit.
