Donald R. Prusha, 82, of Owatonna, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. He was born September 1, 1931 in, Blooming Prairie Township the son of Albert and Nellie (Bowman) Prusha. Donald grew up in Claremont and attended school there. He then began farming with his father until he served in the United States Army from 1952- 1954. Donald was united in marriage to Margaret Ross on April 22, 1956 at Peace Lutheran Church in Claremont. He drove truck and worked at lumber yards in Owatonna and Marshall, Donald then worked for the Canning Company in Owatonna. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He is survived by his wife Margaret Prusha of Owatonna, five children, Cynthia (and Andrew) Christensen of Sioux Falls, Scott (Joyce) Prusha of Owatonna, Jim (Sarah) Prusha of Viroqua, WI, Linda Prusha of Lonsdale, and Paul Prusha of Medford. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two sisters Thelma Zajicek of Albert Lea, and Donna (Daryl) Kos of New Cambria, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday May 1, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Thursday May 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Intern Pastor Christopher Leach officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund or the Donor''s Choice.
