Donald C. Stewart, age 70, of Owatonna, died Friday, November 14, 2014 at his home He was born November 21, 1943 in Los Angeles, California the son of Donald L. and Alice (Wilker) Stewart. He worked for Owatonna Canning Co for 8 years and then began working at Medford Block Co. He later worked for Freithem Company in Lakeville and then returned to Owatonna Canning where he worked for 25 years until his retiring in June 2011. Donald was very organized and kept all of his collections neat, orderly and well labeled in his home. He spent many hours researching family history. He enjoyed collecting many different things over the years, but one he enjoyed most was model trains. He also enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by daughter, Kim (and Tom) Greinier of Juneau, AK; two sons, Darin (and Lisa) Stewart of Owatonna; Douglas Stewart of Owatonna; a brother, Richard Stewart of Rochester; sister, Judy Mueller of Owatonna; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Stewart; and a sister, Nancy Uptadel. Private family graveside services will be held. Arrangements by Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna.
