Donald Walter Sutter, 79, of Owatonna died peacefully on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Traditions II in Owatonna.
Donald was born the son of John and Lucille (Polsfuss) Sutter on January 21, 1944, in Waseca. He grew up in and attended school in Waseca, graduating from Waseca high School in June of 1962. Following school he served in the US Marine Corp from July of 1962 until October of 1966. On February 26, 1988, he was married to Darlene (Jenkins) Enzenauer in Delray Beach, Fl. They had a successful landscaping business in Florida until they moved to Milaca in 1995. There they had a flower and vegetable farm and raised tropical birds. They moved to Waseca in 2019 and then to Owatonna in 2021. Don loved animals and all things in nature.
He is survived by his wife Darlene Sutter of Owatonna, daughter Rachel Kennedy; stepchildren Brenda Lowrey and Scott (Donna) Enzenauer; brothers Joel Sutter, Jim Sutter; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Josh Sutter, grandson Josh Hanks, brother Darryl Sutter and son-in-law Keith Lowrey.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
