Donna Lea Anderson
On Tuesday, February 25, 2025 our lives were changed forever with the unexpected passing of Donna Lea Anderson of Owatonna, MN. Donna was born Sunday, January 26, 1958 to Harry & Verna Prins in Worthington, MN. For 67 years she blessed everyone with her memorable laugh, her quick wit, insurmountable love & compassion. Donna was married to Jay Anderson on Saturday, February 3, 1990. For more than half of her life, we witnessed one of the most beautiful & devoted marriages.
Donna enjoyed crafting of all kinds such as rug hooking, crocheting, beading, quilting, sewing & so many more hobbies she loved to bring home. She loved camping with Jay at their campsite in Waterville, MN. More than anything she cherished watching her great-nieces & great-nephews play, learn and grow. Donna's love for life and all of her "kiddos" will be gravely missed.
Donna is survived by her husband, Jay Anderson of Owatonna. Her mother, Verna Schons of Owatonna. Her brothers: Stanley (Debra) Prins, Norman (Sue) Prins, David (Nancy) Prins & Marty (Karla Prins). her sister-in-law Vicki Jo (Mark) Dahl, Annette Anderson, Her many nieces & nephews: Nikki (Johnathan) Manges, Zach (Kayla) Prins, Amber (Jesse) Smith, Scott (Laura) Prins, Nick (Emily) Prins, Brian (Jennifer) Prins, Katie (Shay) Nold, Amanda Dahl, Caitlin Dahl, Shari Mae Anderson, Rodger (Kashmir) Anderson, Ivy (Isaac) Heyn. Best friends Sonya Arndt, Jane Johnson, Leanna Peterson.
She also survived by her "kiddos" (great-nieces & great-nephews): Everleigh, Rhett, Maddux, Hadley, Hayden, Braidon, Kaleb, Elijah, Isaiah, Kylee, Emma, Parker, Hailey, Hunter, Harvey, Kaydence, Lucas, Glenn, Lary, Sammantha, Aidan, Leslie & Rylee.
Donna was welcomed home by: her father (and best friend), Harry Prins. Brother-in-law, Doug Anderson. Great-Niece Kollyns Marie Prins. Paternal/Maternal grandparents. Many aunts and uncles.
Services will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home, 1930 Austin Road, Owatonna, on March 6th from 4-7pm for the visitation (casual dress) and March 7th at 10am for the funeral followed by snacks and sharing of stories.
