Donna L. Froman, born April 27, 1942, in Deerfield Township, Minnesota, to Franklin and Florence (Wilkowske) Beese, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, at New Richland Care Center.

Donna was a proud 1960 graduate of Owatonna High School. In her younger years, Donna enjoyed spending time on the golf course, softball field, and volleyball court. She also had a lifelong love of music. Donna found great joy in listening to her favorite records—often playing them over and over until they wore out. She set her mind to relearning the piano, and one summer she devoted herself to perfecting “Clair de Lune,” the final piece she had performed at her high school recital. Donna had a passion for writing and often penned letters that were longer than your average novel.

Donna will be remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Dena and Mark McKinney of Lakeville; her grandchildren, Bennett and Eva McKinney; her sister, Faye (Jim) Collins of Hastings; and her brother, Ron Beese of Minneapolis. She is also survived by her dear friend and longtime caregiver, Debbie Williamson, whose compassion and devotion meant so much to Donna and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Jean Busho and Marian Miller; and her brother, Harlan Beese.

Donna had a special place in her heart for the many pets she loved throughout her life, and it brings comfort to imagine her now in a joyful reunion with them. As such, memorials may be made to Safe Hands Rescue, PO Box 19623, Minneapolis, MN 55419, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
