Donna Gedicke, age 80, of Owatonna, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Koda Community Living in Owatonna. Donna was born on December 16, 1935 and was a life-long resident of Steele County. She married Earl Gedicke on June 14, 1958, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Medford. After Earl retired from OTC, they built a house on Sturgeon Island up North where they lived for seven years until Earl passed away on December 5, 2008. Donna's health started to fail and the kids said it was time to move back to Owatonna closer to family. Donna resided at Southway Manor in Owatonna until moving to Koda Community Living in Owatonna. Donna enjoyed flower arranging, going to craft and rummage sales, reading, spending time playing cards with her four grandsons, and breakfast at the Kernal Restaurant with friends from OTC. Survived by children, Keith (Jolene) Gedicke of Waseca, Cheryl (Sam) Burton of Winnepeg, Debra (Gary) Henkensiefken of Ellendale, Jackie Boss of Owatonna, Vickie (Patrick) Finnegan of Owatonna; four grandsons, Randy, Brady, Brendan and Aaron; brother, Jack (Delores) Johnson of Sturgeon Lake and sister-in-law, Keiko Johnson of Faribault. Preceded in death by her parents, Nels & Minnie Johnson; husband, Earl; brother, Jerry and a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Roger Rosecke. A visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Monday, June 20th at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna and one hour prior to the service at 11 am on Tuesday, June 21st at Aurora Lutheran Church in Havana Township.
