Doreen Darla Quaintance, age 66, of Owatonna died On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at home by her husbands side. Doreen Darla Quaintance, Daughter of Lloyd and Annie (Anderson) Lester, was born on January 13, 1955. She graduated from Ellendale High School in 1973. On October 10, 1981, she was united in marriage to John at Community Lutheran Church in Geneva. Doreen worked many different jobs from raising pigs with her sister, working at the Standard Café in Ellendale, owning her own restaurant in Blooming Prairie, to working 20 years at Owatonna Tool. She had the opportunity through Owatonna Tool Company to attend Vocational school in Faribault to learn how to operate the machines they were using. Doreen had a big heart when it came to helping family. She helped take care of her mother in the later years, and would also help watch the chickens for her grandkids. She enjoyed being with people and talking over a cup of coffee. She is survived by her husband John Quaintance of Owatonna, children Shawn and Ryan both of Owatonna; Grandchildren Caden, Adelyn, Tristin, Tyrel; Sisters Charlene Otterson of Blooming Prairie, Bernice (Harold) Bartsch of Owatonna, Joan Madoll of Ellendale, Judy Fisher of Blooming Prairie; brothers Loren Lester of Ellendale, Eugene Lester of Ellendale; brothers and sisters-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Lester; sister Marie Guerrero; brothers-in-law Ronald Fisher and Lloyd Otterson. Visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna, on Sunday, October 24th, 2021 from 4PM-7PM. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 25th at 11AM. Burial will be at Richland Cemetery following the service.
