Obituary

Doris Klinkhammer, born Doris Anne Singerhouse on 03/23/1926 In Menomonie WI, crossed over from this world to the next on Saturday, November 26th (2022), at Traditions II in Owatonna. She was raised on the Singerhouse family farm outside Irvington Wi., and she and husband Wayne Klinkhammer resided in Owatonna for many years on Thomas Ave., and then Greenwood Dr.

Doris was a kind, gracious, and loving Mother and mentor to both son Larry(Lawrence) Edwards and to granddaughter Sara Lyn (Stephen) Neville, currently of Bluffton SC. Doris always put others ahead and above herself, and was kind, giving, and understanding to and for all.

She worked all her life and also kept a wonderful warm and welcoming home. Her workplaces included Bretts, Peoples Press, Jostens, and finally a lengthy stay and retirement from Federated.

Her interests were many and varied, including LTO, Bridge (cards) competition, gardening, and crafts, including wonderfully detailed needlepoint. She was a voracious reader of many novels as well as history periodicals, such as Smithsonian and Archaeology magazines, and was involved with and loved the local Historical Society, and a member of St John's Lutheran (Owatonna).

But her most cherished and devoted time was for and with her grandchildren, daughter Sara, and son Larry. Her Grandchildren and Sara were her devotion.

She was preceded in passing by her parents Alice and Hugo Singerhouse, siblings Helen Cunniff, Laura Beguhn, Irene Brunn, and Ron Singerhouse. She is survived by husband Wayne Klinkhammer, Son Larry Edwards of Owatonna MN, Granddaughter Sara Lyn (Stephen) Neville and Grandchildren Parker Neville, Taylor Neville, Reagan Neville, and Hunter. Neville, of Bluffton SC, Many Nieces and Nephews and brother Bob (Mary Jane) Singerhouse of Menomonie WI.

A private family service will be held later.
