Doris Florence Kriesel, 99, of Owatonna, died Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Koda Living Community in Owatonna, Minnesota. Doris was born May 31, 1917 in Steele County, Minnesota the daughter of Delbert and Martha (Werdin) Rasmussen. She married Charles Kriesel on April 13, 1937. Doris farmed with her husband in the Clinton Falls area for 30 years and then moved into Owatonna and had the Kriesel Tailor Shop for 14 years. Doris was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Enterprise Club, and the M.C.M. Club. She is survived by her daughter, Janelle Holm of Owatonna; her son, Ronald (RaNaye) Kriesel of Owatonna; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; brother, Mark Rasmussen of Owatonna; niece, Bonnie Mortensen of Owatonna. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; daughter, Marlys Deml; sister, Luella Abraham; daughter-in-law, Marion Rasmussen; special friend, Robert Ringhofer. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, September 5, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Owatonna with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials are preferred to donor's choice.
