Doris E. Schuette, 86, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Owatonna Hospital surrounded by her family. Doris was born January 8, 1929 in Waseca County, Minnesota the daughter of John and Margaret (Greer) Scholer. There she was raised and attended school graduating from Waseca High School in 1948. She worked at Johnson Radio until her marriage. She was united in marriage to Howard W. Schuette on September 26, 1948 at Waseca Methodist Church where they were members. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Owatonna. She was a stay at home mom and raised the children. After the family was grown, she worked in the Education office at the United Methodist Church in Owatonna for 25 years. Howard died in 1997. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and also a long time member at United Methodist Church, Owatonna. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by a son, Dwain (and Virginia) Schuette of Alexandria; two daughters, Marie Schuette of Owatonna; Mary Paffrath of Lincoln, NE; three grandchildren, Sara (and Jeff) Guenther of Alexandria; Jonathan (and Jess) Schuette of Alexandria; Shaun (and Jill) Paffrath of Lincoln; six great grandchildren, Alaina and Locklyn Guenther; Ryan and Parker Schuette; Emily and Easton Paffrath; two sisters-in-law and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her parents; two brothers and two sisters. Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery, Owatonna.
