Dorothy B. Kruckeberg, 86, of Owatonna, died Friday, October 31, 2014 at her home in Owatonna. She was born February 28, 1928 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of William and Bertha (Kovar) Boettcher. Dorothy attended country school District 95 in Summit Township. She was united in marriage to Orville Kruckeberg on September 8, 1948 at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie. The couple lived in Bixby before moving to Owatonna in 1950. Dorothy assisted with Custom Craft Upholstery, the family business from 1973-1988. Dorothy enjoyed baking, quilting, gardening, dancing, and going to the Little Theater productions. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie (Al) Qualley of Owatonna, daughter in law Laurie Kruckeberg of Owatonna and her four grandchildren Jennifer (Larry Jr.) O'Malley of Hayfield, Matt (Kelly) Kruckeberg of Minneapolis, Angie (David) Iserman of Owatonna, Renee (Tyler) Bush of Chaska, and five great granddaughters Payton, Cierra, and Reese O'Malley and Emmy and Elle Iserman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orville in 2004, son Terry in 2011, and three sisters and three brothers. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday November 3, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 4, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran with Pastor Richard Steffen officiating. Interment will be in the Steele Center Cemetery.
