Dorothy S. Lee, 95, of Owatonna, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Birchwood Cottages in Owatonna.

She was born July 3, 1929, in Owatonna, the daughter of Henry and Sophie (Pirkl) Eastling. She graduated from Medford High School in 1947. Dorothy worked for three years at the Owatonna Municipal Public Utilities where she met her husband Robert E. Lee. They were united in marriage on September 2, 1950, and in 2003 they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary before Robert's passing. She also worked for the Steele County Treasurer part-time and later full time for the Steele County Public Health Nursing Service and retired in 1989.

In retirement, her first love was spending time with her husband, children and her grand and great grandchildren. She enjoyed baking special cakes and cookies, volunteering for Owatonna Area Hospice and Home Care, Steele County Blood Mobile, being an active member of DayBreak Community Church, and Grandparents for Education.

She is survived by her son, Thomas (and Julie) Lee of Owatonna; grandsons, Jason (and Jessica) Lee and their daughters, Arya and Amelia; Joshua Lee; and Jordan (and Amanda) Lee and their daughter Autumn.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee; daughters, Janet Lee, Sally (and Bob) Maschke; brothers Edward Eastling and Richard Eastling.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna at 11AM. A visitation will start one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
