Dorothy N. Loquai, 85, of Dodge Center, died Friday, November 7, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. Dorothy was born June 30, 1923 in Concord Township the daughter of Lou and Lillith (Gibbs) Nelson. She was raised near Concord and then moved with her family to West Concord where she graduated from high school. She then worked for Lawler's Clothing Store in Rochester. Dorothy was united in marriage to Forrest Loquai on September 14, 1945 in Concord. They farmed in Milton Township for many years. Forrest died in October of 1979. Dorothy continued to live on the farm until the time of her death. She enjoyed many things especially knitting. She made hundreds of mittens for Care and Share and for friends and family. She also enjoyed traveling and watching the birds. Dorothy was a longtime member of Concord Church of Christ and of the Fairview Care Center Women''s Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Community Homemakers Group She is survived by three daughters, Muriel (and Dan) French of Dodge Center; Marjorie (and Chuck) Andrist of Pine Island; Barbara Loquai of Owatonna; a sister, Lois Ferguson of Fargo, ND; seven grandchildren, Tony (and Dana) French, Jason French, Stacey (and Max) Pappas, Chad Andrist, Jodie (and Kyle) Bartz, Katie Andrist and Charlie Andrist. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest and her parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, West Concord on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Concord Church of Christ with The Reverend Tim Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery. The family request that memorials be sent to the Concord Church of Christ or the donor''s choice in loving memory of Dorothy.
