Dorothy M. Pobanz 93, of Owatonna died Sunday, September 7 at Traditions of Owatonna. She was born November 8, 1914 in Somerset township, Minnesota the daughter of William and Rosa (Prokop) Pachl, and attended country school and then worked at the Owatonna Hotel. Dorothy married Luvern Pobanz September 5, 1942 at First Lutheran Church in Louisville, KY. After raising her daughter Dorothy then worked for a short time at Partridge Greenhouse. She enjoyed baking and loved her grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her husband Luvern, daughter Elizabeth (Russel Karlen) Lewis of Owatonna, two grandsons Tye (Kathy) Lewis and Chad (Gina) Lewis, three great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. She is also survived by three sisters Elaine (Edward) Sanders of Aitkin, Florence (Calvin) Kruckeberg of Claremont, and Virginia (Johan) Paulson of Owatonna. One brother William Pachl preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday September 10 from 5-7 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Funeral service will be held Thursday September 11 at 2:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church with the Reverend Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
