Dorothy E. Roever, 96, of Owatonna, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Owatonna Commons. She was born December 3, 1912 in Deerfield Township, Minnesota the daughter of Carl and Anna (Masche) Pitan. Dorothy graduated from Medford High School, and later married William Roever on June 30, 1937 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. The couple began farming together just outside of Owatonna, and William later died October 14, 1978. Dorothy loved her flowers, she also enjoyed gardening and being on the farm. She is survived by, nieces and a nephew Roger (and Carol) Pitan of Owatonna, Chris Pitan of Owatonna. Her parents, husband, two brothers, and one sister preceded her in death. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday August 18, 2009 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Julie Malone officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna.
