Douglas J. Bock, 67, of Owatonna, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Douglas was born July 13, 1944, in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota the son of Lloyd and Lucille (Kvasnicka) Bock. Douglas attended New Richland High School lettering in football before transferring to Owatonna High School where he graduated in 1962. He was united in marriage to Betty Affeldt on September 30, 1967 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Douglas worked several jobs on local farms and at Partridge Greenhouse prior to starting his career for MN DOT in 1967. He retired from MN DOT in 2002 after 35 years of service. Douglas loved telling jokes and making people laugh. He enjoyed salmon fishing, gardening, working on cars and good parties with friends and family. He is survived by his wife Betty Bock of Owatonna; daughter, Ann (and Dan) Talley of Lake Havasu City, AZ; son, Mark (and Ann) Bock of Medford; sister, Connie Bock of Owatonna; brother, Randy (and Bev) Bock of Vadnais Heights; and two granddaughters, Andrea and Amanda Bock of Medford. He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Lucille Bock, Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with Rosary beginning at 4:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Reverend Edward McGrath officiating. Private family interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna.
