Dr. Neelima Bonthu, 38, of Owatonna , died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at St. Mary's Mayo Clinic. Neelima was born December 28, 1979 in Visakhapatnam, India, the daughter of Narayana Rao Bonthu and Ramalakshmi Bonthu. Neelima attended Kendriya Vidyalaya School in India. She became a doctor and worked at the Owatonna Hospital for three years. Neelima married Subhankar Chakraborty on November 11, 2009. Neelima loved music, crochet, gardening, traveling, and cooking. She was very generous, almost to a fault. Spending time with her daughter and family was extremely special to her. She is survived by her husband Subhankar Chakraborty; daughter, Anaika Bonthu Chakraborty; parents; grandfather; brother, Mohan Bonthu of Lewisville, TX; and brother-in-law, Sourabh Chakraborty of Lincoln, NE. Neelima was preceded in death by her grandmother. Visitation will be held from 9 am to 12 pm on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna.
