Duane Lennon, 68, of Merton Township, rural Owatonna, Minnesota died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at his home. Duane was born August 28, 1944 in Owatonna, Minnesota the son of Myron and Marceline (Krienke) Lennon. He was raised in Merton Township and attended grade school in Owatonna. He then attended Southern School of Agriculture in Waseca where he graduated in 1962. Duane farmed with his father in Merton Township. He was united in marriage to Irene 'Reni' Janke-Juhl on July 22, 1983 in Moland Lutheran Church. After Duane''s father died, Duane moved to the family farm and continued farming. What was important to Duane was his family. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and his nephews and nieces, each of them holding their own special place in his heart. Duane could have a strong opinion, but would remain a true friend to those he loved. He would give his time helping and visiting with those he cared about. He volunteered with CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and served on the Merton Township Board as well as Moland Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife Irene 'Reni' Lennon of Owatonna; daughter Stephanie Cink of Rochester; son Sheldon (and Brenda ) Juhl of Kasson; four grandchildren, Jennifer (and Joshua) Geier of Byron; Jacob Averbeck and Justin Allen of Rochester; and Alexander Juhl of Kasson; four great grandchildren, Madison, Tristan, Joel and Isla; brother Randy (and Mary) Lennon of Kasson; his sisters Debbie (and Lee) Paulson of St Bonifacius; Kari (and Steven) Schultz of Kearney, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Bonnie Corcoran. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Owatonna with The Reverend Nancy Edwardson officiating.
