Obituary

Dwight D. Walters, 59, of Owatonna, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Owatonna Hospital. Dwight was born December 12, 1953 in Atlantic, Iowa the son of Gus and Betty (Hufford) Walters. Dwight graduated from Owatonna High School in 1972 and went onto Jackson Vo-tech College. Through out his career he worked for 3M, ATT, and most recently Modern Metal. Dwight married Sue Striemer on Oct. 7, 2006. Dwight enjoyed playing pool, golf, fishing and sitting around a nice camp fire. Dwight is survived by his wife, Sue Walters of Owatonna; parents, Rich (and Betty) Granowski of Owatonna; daughters, Heather Walters of Elkhart, TX, Nicole Walters of St. Paul, Carly Walters of St. Paul; brother, Durwin Walters of Red Wing; sister, Denise (Scott) Bisping of New Prague; step-children, Erin (Ryan) Farland of Swea City, IA, Mike Goodell of Fairmont, Brent Goodell of Minneapolis, Chris Goodell of Owatonna, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Gus Walters; brother, Dudley Walters. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. and at Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with The Reverend Julie Malone officiating.
