Edith D. Dinse, 81, of Faribault, formerly of Owatonna died Friday, October 12, 2012 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault. She was born July 12, 1931 in Faribault, Minnesota the daughter of Joseph and Abigail (Wohlers) Kolstad. Edith graduated from Faribault High School in 1949 and then attended the Faribault Area VO Tech. She was united in marriage to Norbert Dinse on September 7, 1960 in Nashua, IA. The couple farmed together in Steele County. Edith worked as an aide at the Owatonna Hospital and as a service technician at the Faribault Regional Health Center. Norbert died in 1980. Edith then married Victor Volkman on September 11, 1988 and the couple later divorced. Edith was a past member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, baking, cooking, country western music and going to casinos. She is survived by her sister Alice Oseid of Faribault, nephew Delner Voss of Waseca, niece Mary (and Wayne) Bjoraker of Owatonna, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Norbert, and a sister JoAnn Derham. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday October 16, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
