Edith V. Ihle, 92, of Kenyon, died Friday, May 21, 2010 at Kenyon Sunset Home. Edith was born February 1, 1918 in Skyberg, Minnesota the daughter of Adolph and Lillian (Babcock) Peterson. She was baptized and confirmed in Hegre Lutheran Church and attended school in Kenyon graduating from Kenyon High School in 1936. She was united in marriage to Donald Ihle on December 5, 1939. She worked many vocations. She worked as a receptionist and for the Kenyon Elementary School as a cook. She also worked for Och's Department Store in Faribault until retiring in 1980. Edith had many hobbies, but she especially enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading and playing cards. She is survived by daughter, Beverly (and David) Emerson of Kenyon; sister, Arlette Olness of Roseville; a grandson, Christopher (and Christa) Emerson of Maple Grove and a great grandson, Porter William Emerson of Maple Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, her parents, a granddaughter, Tracey Marie Emerson, three brothers and three sisters. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon with The Reverend Luther Mathsen officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery in Kenyon.
