Edna M. Mueller, 87, of Claremont, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester. Edna was born April 23, 1923 in Waseca, Minnesota the daughter of Walter and Elsie (Bathel) Buker. She was baptized into faith at St. John's Lutheran Church, Waseca. Edna was raised near Waseca and also attended country school. She then attended beauty school in Mankato and later worked for Lil Colton in Owatonna as a beautician. She was united in marriage to Herbert Mueller on March 2, 1947 in St. John's Lutheran Church, Waseca. They moved near Claremont where they farmed for many years. They then moved into Claremont and she owned and operated Edna's Beauty Shop until retiring in 2002. Herbert died April 24, 1995. After retirement, Edna moved to Dodge Center and in 2008 she moved to West Concord. Edna was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Claremont and was active in the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Our Happy Corners Club and the Legion Auxiliary in Dodge Center. Edna enjoyed making crafts. She also enjoyed needlework, crocheting, sewing and flower gardening. She is survived by three daughters, Dorean (and Lee) Loppnow of Dodge Center; Sharill Mueller of Rochester; Marcia (and Ronald) Dohlman of Riceville, IA; two brothers, Robert Buker of Waseca, Marvin Buker of Alexandria; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert, a son, Allen Mueller, and her parents. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna with Reverend David Fechner officiating.
