Eileen A. Summer, 92, of Owatonna, Minnesota died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, in Ashland, Ohio after a short illness. Eileen was born May 7, 1920 in Owatonna Township, the daughter of Karl and Elsie (Weber) Priebe. She attended District 54 School in Lemond Township, where she met her future husband, Alvis B.Summer. They were married on November 1, 1939 at St. John Lutheran Church in Owatonna. Following their marriage the couple farmed at 2711 S.W. 28th Street, Owatonna until 1970. She then went to work as a cook at the Owatonna Country Club, Jerry''s Supper Club and the Owatonna Eagles, retiring at the age of 80. Eileen enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens, and canning. She also enjoyed traveling with her daughter, Karon, and in August 2012, she moved to Ashland, OH to live with her. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Karon Summer (Randy Lipscomb) of Ashland, OH, nephew, Gary (Charlene) Wolff of Owatonna, great nephews, Scott (Linde) Wolff of Owatonna, and Chad (Courtney) Wolff of Faribault, and great great nieces, Emma, Annabelle, Bennett and Whitton, and great great nephew, Breuer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alvis (1997), her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Edward Wolff. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, March 25, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at St. John Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
