Elaine E. Johnson, 80, of Owatonna, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born November 17, 1933 in Owatonna, Minnesota the daughter of Louis and Amelia (Rysavy) Sobrek. Elaine graduated from Owatonna High School with the class of 1951, and started working for Jostens. She then raised her eight children and returned to work at Jostens retiring in the mid 90's. Elaine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, bowling, crossword puzzles, gardening, and watching the Minnesota Twins. She is survived by her eight children, Mary (and Mike Hall) Corson Houston, TX, Mike Johnson Kissimmee, FL, Tim Johnson, Owatonna, Janet (Don) Rose Buffalo, MN, Julie Johnson Owatonna, Dan Johnson Owatonna, Tom (Amy) Johnson Owatonna, and Jill Keck Waseca. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three sisters Rose Hoffman Owatonna, Bunny Grabbe Rochester, and Millie Pauba Zumbrota. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Eugene and Lawrence and a great granddaughter. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Thursday April 10, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held April 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Michael Cronin officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Owatonna.
