Elaine L. Woody Wodarczak, 85, of Owatonna passed away at her home. Elaine was born July 5, 1931 in Owatonna to Peter Paul Wodarczak Jr. and Louise M. (Wiebking) Wodarczak. She attended Roosevelt Elementary School and Owatonna High School, graduating in 1949. Elaine worked for the Owatonna School District for over 20 years until her retirement. She had a lifetime love for horses, cats, and rural living, wanting to maintain her property as near natural as possible, sharing it with wildlife. Elaine adopted the Apostle Paul's message to the Roman Christians recorded in Romans 10: 9, 10 and sought to live accordingly. She also supported several Christian outreach organizations and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Owatonna. Preceding her in death was a very special friend of many years, Mel Ptacek; her parents; cousin, Ron Abbe; and other relatives. Surviving Elaine are cousins, Henry (Char) Stange and Yvonne (Richard) Hartsook of Owatonna. Her positive presence will be sorely missed by family, many friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. May God bless her memory. Visitation will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Owatonna with The Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating.
