Elda Florence Lindberg, 99, of Owatonna, formerly of Claremont, died Friday, January 14, 2011 at Cedarview Care Center. Elda Florence Conrad was born October 16, 1911 in Milbank, South Dakota the daughter of John and Lillian (Ludwig) Conrad. She attended school in Revillo, SD. She was united in marriage to Clarence Lindberg on December 23, 1939. She worked as a telephone operator in South Dakota and in 1957, they moved to Owatonna. She then worked for Knode Enterprise in Owatonna and also a homemaker. Clarence died in 1965. Elda had many hobbies, but she especially enjoyed sewing, crocheting, watching car races, spending time with family and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and professional wrestling on TV. She is survived by her children, Nyla (and Bob) Rysavy of Claremont; Emmalane 'Emmy' Sinn in Florida; Linda (and Joe) Fiedler of Mabank, TX; Clarice Lindberg of Rochester; Becky Measner of Faribault; Judy (and Gary) Vaughan of Owatonna; Chuck 'Toby' (and Deb) Lindberg of Owatonna; Nancy (and Charlie) Meixner of Owatonna; David Lindberg in Florida. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. Elda was preceded in death by her husband, her son Steven "Tina" Lindberg, daughter, Jeanice Malimanek and grandson, Mark Malimanek. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend Keith Meyer officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
