Eleanor "Elly" A. Harris, 88, of Owatonna, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born August 13, 1922 in Manley, Iowa the daughter of George and Loretta (Wendt) Andon. Elly was married to George Harris for 40 years. He preceded her in death in 1987. She worked for Josten''s in the bindery for many years. In 1988 she met Richard Black. He became her companion of 23 years and was the love of her life. Richard passed away March 6th 2010. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara (and Ron) Dunnington of Rochester;, two sons, Duffy Harris of Minneapolis; and Jerome Harris of Rochester; two sisters, Peggy Gurtin of Sacramento, CA; Bessie Casteel of Tacoma, WA; two grandsons, Scott (and Erica) Carlson and Bryan (and Amy) Carlson; three great grandchildren, Kaiya, Jared and Grant. They were also the love of her life. Elly was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents, a brother, John Andon and a sister, Francis Berry. Visitation will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Memorial services will be held Monday, June 20, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Reverend Edward McGrath officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
