Elijah Roman Erickson, 9, of Owatonna, died Friday, February 5, 2016 as the result of a car accident. He was born September 17, 2006 in Owatonna the son of Karl and Herminia (Rivera) Erickson. Elijah was very loving and friendly. His personality made him a great peacemaker and he was known for his smile. He enjoyed math, music and sports. He loved to participate in wrestling and soccer, enjoyed watching sports, and aspired to play football. Elijah also had a wonderful big brother in the BBBS program. He is survived by his mother, Herminia Becker; siblings, Celes Erickson, Nicole Erickson, Isaac Erickson, Andrew Erickson, Gavin Becker, Hope Becker, Dmitry Becker; paternal grandfather, David Erickson; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Matthews; nephew, Ezequiel Aragon; aunts, Veronica Rivier, Tabitha Ruiz, Dora Smith, Diana Avarca; uncle, John Castillo; and many other family members. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Robert Rivera; paternal grandmother, Amelia Erickson; father, Karl Erickson; and twin siblings, Michael & Gabriel. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday from 9:30am to 10:30am. Memorial services will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 10:30am at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Stauffer and Pastor John Miller co-officiating. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery in Owatonna. In Lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Homestead Hospice House or to the family.
